<p>This is a notification about a planned change in the Bosch IoT Rollouts service. It might affect you only if you use the Device Management Federation (DMF) API directly to connect your devices to Bosch IoT Rollouts. The change aims to ensure more reliable certificate management with less impact for DMF API users on periodic server certificate renewals.</p>
<p>Bosch IoT Rollouts will switch DMF API endpoints to a new root certification authority (CA) Let's Encrypt. The CA root certificate will be changed from "QuoVadis Root CA 2 G3" to Let's Encrypt’s self-signed "ISRG Root X1" (https://letsencrypt.org/certificates/).</p>
<p>This switch will affect the following PROD DMF endpoints</p>

<p>Bosch IoT Suite For Device Management service experiences some problem which lead to unreliable and/or significantly delayed processing of the events coming from the devices between lower (Hub & Things) and higher (Manager & Rollouts) layers of the stack. As a result some of the device management (including FOTA) use-cases may not work as expected (i.e. the progress/status of the rollout campaigns may not be reported properly).</p>

<p><strong>UPDATE:</strong> The issue is resolved for all newly created management tasks. Some of the active/pending tasks (e.g. rollout campaigns) however, might have been interrupted. The team is currently working to identify them and if possible to restore their state.</p>

<p>Due to a service communication issue the Bosch IoT Device Management service is not working fully as expected.</p>
<p>Events reported by the devices are not reflected in the Bosch IoT Rollouts service.</p>
<p>We are currently investigating the issue and we will send out an update as soon as the issue is resolved.</p>
<p><strong>UPDATE</strong>: Issue is resolved. Device events are now processed again. Events that were pending due to the outage are now delivered with a delay.</p>
