Maintenance Announcement

We would like to inform you about an upcoming scheduled maintenance, which will be carried out during the following time window

Maintenance of Bosch IoT Rollouts and Bosch IoT Device Management AMQP Infrastructure

We plan to migrate our RabbitMQ setup to a new cluster. During the announced time frame new bookings of the Bosch IoT Rollouts Service, as well as the Bosch IoT Device Management, won't be possible. We don't expect customers to be affected otherwise in using our services.

With this change we will also move our DMF endpoint to a subdomain of our bosch-iot-rollouts.com address. This also means that customers using the DMF API will need to update the endpoints they use for the communication with Rollouts. We will provide a federated migration for this. This means there will be a time frame of at least one month customers can use to change the endpoint URL on their side independently. The change does not need to happen on the same day. We will announce the new URL as soon as it is available.

Missing THING_DELETED DMF messages

Bosch IoT Rollouts has been facing an issue with regards to sending out of 'THING_DELETED' DMF messages. This results in no DMF messages when a target is deleted in Bosch IoT Rollouts.

We are currently investigating and will let you know as soon as it is resolved.

Please note, that this issue only affects the DMF API, other Bosch IoT Rollouts APIs are not affected.

Maintenance of Bosch IoT Hub Messaging Infrastructure

A major update of the messaging system will be rolled out by Red Hat to improve the stability and performance. During the given maintenance period clients may experience sporadic failures to connect to and/or send messages to the IoT Hub. Clients should perform corresponding re-tries as described in Bosch IoT Hub documentation in such cases. We apologize for any inconvenience.

After the incident yesterday, we observed that ~1% of telemetry messages sent from IoT Hub to IoT Things were not correctly processed and therefore caused a timeout on device side. The issue has been resolved and we're working on a fix to prevent this in the future.

The Bosch IoT Suite provides all key middleware capabilities needed to build sophisticated IoT applications from top to bottom.

API access and RSS Feeds

To retrieve status information, you can subscribe to the RSS or Atom feed with your preferred RSS client. To retrieve status information programmatically, use the REST API with the base url https://status.bosch-iot-suite.com/api/v1/components. Retrieving status information does not require authentication.

Monitoring Interval

Note: The status is checked every few minutes, usually between 1 and 10 minutes depending on each functionality and its criticality. The "Last Updated" timestamp shown when hovering over the status message will only reflect the last state change and not the last check. The health checks are automated and perform service-specific network and functional tests. The network tests originate randomly from various checkpoints world-wide.
