Partial service degradation [RESOLVED]

Bosch IoT Suite For Device Management service experiences some problem which lead to unreliable and/or significantly delayed processing of the events coming from the devices between lower (Hub & Things) and higher (Manager & Rollouts) layers of the stack. As a result some of the device management (including FOTA) use-cases may not work as expected (i.e. the progress/status of the rollout campaigns may not be reported properly).

UPDATE: The issue is resolved for all newly created management tasks. Some of the active/pending tasks (e.g. rollout campaigns) however, might have been interrupted. The team is currently working to identify them and if possible to restore their state.

Unprocessed device events

Due to a service communication issue the Bosch IoT Device Management service is not working fully as expected.

Events reported by the devices are not reflected in the Bosch IoT Rollouts service.

We are currently investigating the issue and we will send out an update as soon as the issue is resolved.

UPDATE: Issue is resolved. Device events are now processed again. Events that were pending due to the outage are now delivered with a delay.

Issue with updates for offline devices

[RESOLVED] Due to a service communication issue the Bosch IoT Device Management service is not working fully as expected.

Software update commands issued to offline devices will not be delivered, even when the devices get back online.

Maintenance Announcement

We would like to inform you about an upcoming scheduled maintenance, which will be carried out during the following time window

Maintenance of Bosch IoT Hub's messaging component

Our messaging provider will undergo scheduled maintenance on January 8, 2022 between 5:00 am and 7:59 am UTC for an infrastructure upgrade. During this time, booking of new subscriptions of Bosch IoT Device Management will not be possible since it will not be possible to create required resources in Confluent Cloud. However, there will be no impact on Bosch IoT Hub's general functionality and therefore existing plans will not be affected at all. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Booking of new subscriptions sporadically not possible

The service broker component of the Bosch IoT Hub is currently sporadically not able to create required resources in a third party system which results in failures to book new Bosch IoT Device Management plans. This has no impact on IoT Hub's general functionality and therefore existing plans are not affected at all. The root cause has been identified and fixed by the third party vendor.

The service broker component of the Bosch IoT Hub was not able to create required resources in a third party system which resulted in failure to book new Bosch IoT Device Management plans. The Bosch IoT Suite provides all key middleware capabilities needed to build sophisticated IoT applications from top to bottom.

API access and RSS Feeds

To retrieve status information, you can subscribe to the RSS or Atom feed with your preferred RSS client. To retrieve status information programmatically, use the REST API with the base url https://status.bosch-iot-suite.com/api/v1/components. Retrieving status information does not require authentication.

Monitoring Interval

Note: The status is checked every few minutes, usually between 1 and 10 minutes depending on each functionality and its criticality. The "Last Updated" timestamp shown when hovering over the status message will only reflect the last state change and not the last check. The health checks are automated and perform service-specific network and functional tests. The network tests originate randomly from various checkpoints world-wide.
